Professor Green is also Director of the International State Crime Initiative (ISCI). ISCI is a multi-disciplinary, cross institutional and international initiative to collate, analyse and disseminate research based knowledge about criminal state practices and resistance to them.
Frances Webber,
a retired barrister who specialised in human rights, immigration and
asylum law. She is currently a visiting lecturer at Warwick University
and Birkbeck College, University of London. She is Vice-Chair of the
Institute of Race Relations, with which she has been involved for over
40 years. Her book : Borderline Justice, The Fight for Refugee and
Migrant Rights (October 2012)
Dr Ian Patel, joined the International State Crime Initiative at the Dickson Poon School of Law as a postdoctoral research fellow in 2012.Dr Patel is currently engaged on a two-year ESRC-funded project entitled Resisting State Crime: A Comparative Study of Civil Society (ref. ES/I030816/1). The aim of this project is to work towards a definition of the role of civil society in its capacity to resist state violence and authoritarianism.
His fieldwork is conducted in Sierra Leone and Tunisia.
